Hidaka walked in with a guitar case on her back. She looked a little down. She walked up to the counter and set the case on it. "I broke a string and I don't have any extras. It's also been a while since I've gotten my maintenance." She sighed and opened the case, revealing her acoustic guitar. Indeed, a string was broken in half and curled up.
The man at the counter sighed. "Hidaka-chan, you need to take proper care of your guitar!"
She gave a stubborn look. "I take care of it the best I can!"

* blinks and turns around * Hi Hidaka-chan! * smiles *

The man sighed and started snipping the strings off her guitar. "Mataku..."
Hidaka blinked and turned around. "Oh, hey, Yuki-chan. You play?" She blinked again. "I didn't know."

* shakes her head * I don't hehe I want to learn though... I thought I would have needed a guitar so I'm here to buy one! * smiles *

He started putting the strings on.
Hidaka glanced at him and put 10 yen on the counter to pay for the maintenance, then looked back at Yuki. "Got your eyes on a starter guitar?" She walked up next to Yuki, fixing her hood and slipping her hands into her jacket pockets.

* nods looking at the guitars again * I don't which one to get though...

She tapped her chin. "Well, you should get one with a skinny neck and one that's not too heavy. Also, be sure to be careful of the length of the neck. If the neck is too long, it'll mute the sound." She nodded, humming a tune that she made up in a song.
He sighed and took the yen, wiping the strings and putting the guitar back in the case. "Hidaka-chan!"
Hidaka sighed and turned around, then zipped up her case and put it over her shoulder. "You'll also have to have a case."

* nodded taking note of what she was saying * Okay... that makes sense! * smiles looking at guitars *

Hidaka stood next to her and studied her for a moment, then looked at the guitars. "Lefty or righty?"

I'm a right hand! * wiggles her fingers on her right hand * hehe

Hidaka continued to look through the guitars. "Acoustic or electric?" Her eye caught one she really wanted, but didn't have the money for it. She blinked and looked away. Her guitar was good enough, and she was used to the feel of the wood grains and stain of it.

( I know the difference my dad owns like 7 guitars... hehe )

She sighed. "Acoustic doesn't plug in and has a hollow body to produce the sounds. Electric, you plug into the amp to produce a clear sound. If you don't plug it in, it'll make a dull sound, but you can still make the tones on it." She shrugged. "Basically, electric is a bit better. But I play acoustic, its' easier; no wires and hassle like that." Her eyes wandered back to that guitar.

She grimaced and shrugged. "I already have one, and this one's electric." She sighed and took it off the wall, weighing it in her hands. "The feel is perfect..." She looked at it longingly. "But I don't have enough money." She pouted. "I only have ten thousand yen, this is fifty." She pouted and put it back on the wall, fingers longing to stay on the neck. She took a step back so that she didn't grab the guitar again. "I don't need another guitar," she said stubbornly, but as though trying to convince herself that.

* blinks * You sure? I could get you it if you wanted... * smiles *

She shook her head. "It's okay. Hikyuu'd be pissed if I took home that." She sighed. "Hikyuu considers guitars 'things that were made to make stupid sounds that ring in the ears annoyingly'. I could say the same for those stupid drums." She scowled. I've had my eyes on that guitar since I first came here... Why didn't I get it then? I had the money. Oh, that's right. Hikyuu said I couldn't, even though I'm the older twin.

* nods * Okay I understand...

She sighed. "I've actually had the guys hold this guitar for me." She pointed to the tag. "DISPLAY" She sighed again. "I don't think I'll ever get the money, though." She looked down. "I don't have any way to make money."

* nods * Well if you find some way to find work you can buy it! * smiles *

She nodded. "I know. But nobody will let me work... It's not everyday that I see a place with a sign that says, 'HELP WANTED', you know?" She shrugged. "It's not very important. Anyways, which guitar do you want? Skinny neck, not-too-heavy body. You have to like the feel of it in your arms. It has to feel like it's part of you." She sighed and pulled out her own guitar. "I love my guitar. But it's acoustic. I want an electric guitar, but Hikyuu'd throw a shit-fit."
